Brief Overview and a Little Bit of History!!!

Donadea Running Club was the brainchild of Jo Cawley, who began the club in July 2007. On moving to the area Jo being an avid athlete herself, fell in love with the beautiful forest park that we now use as our training ground. On making some enquiries, she discovered that there was no active running club in the area, and she made it her mission thankfully, to form Donadea Running Club.

Since then the club has grown from strength to strength. What started as a little sign on the wall in the Small Coffee Shop within the forest park; has now become one of the most well represented running clubs in the Kildare area. Our Green Singlets we are proud to say are now highly recognisable at many of the country's most prestigious running events, with many of our members bringing home prizes on both national and county levels.

The club meets for training on the following days and times:

Winter (October - End of March)Meet at St Coca's Athletic Running Track in Kilcock for Circuit lap training. Classes are on a rotation basis between Anthony Lee, Ollie Kearney, Andrew Meehan and Paschal Murphy.Thursdays @ 7pm
 
Summer (April - Sept)Meet at Staplestown School. Run around Donadea Forest or surrounding areas. Various distances covered.Tuesdays @6.45pm
Summer (April - Sept)Venue to be confirmed. A circuit Class focusing on Strengthening, Conditioning and Speed. Taken on a rotating basis by Anthony Lee, Ollie Kearney, Andrew Meehan and Paschal MurphyThursdays @7pm
 
Saturday Mornings all yearMeet at the coffee shop in the forest park for a run (various distances covered) and coffee afterwards.Saturdays @9am
